Vintage Salon Sign Illuminated Shop Display Large Double Sided Unique

  

Offered is a very unique vintage hair salon/beauty parlor business sign. I'm not sure of its origins, but I'm assuming it used to hang inside the window of a salon or around/above the receptionist or front desk area. The sign is composed of plastic panels with metal framing, remains solid and in good condition, is illuminated, double-sided and features a 3D portrait silhouette on both panels. There is a Gulf Development, Inc. Sticker on the bottom with a manufacture date of July 1980.

This sign originally had two fluorescent bulbs mounted inside and the wiring was original, however, the component was no longer functional and actually started smoking when I first connected a power source to it. Therefore, I went ahead and removed the entire electrical component and ran a standard lamp socket and cord into it as shown in the photos. I also placed a very bright bulb inside and the sign looks great lit up.

The sign was put back together and the bulb left in there. A few scratches are present in places on the black borders and within the sign.

Measurements: 32" long x 12" deep x 22 tall. To note, the sign stands up on its own and doesn't necessarily have to be hung from the ceiling. Would look great in a home bar, lounge area or recreation/game room! Feel free to ask any questions. Please pay within 24 hours.
