Original Pontiac Double Sided Factory Engineered Parts Sign 1940's

  
I removed it from my Pontiac dealership when we closed in 2010. It had been in the dealership since my Grandfather opened in the early 40's.

It worked when i removed it and was used as a night light at the parts counter. The glass is back lit with neon tubes. Some of the Gra paint is starting to show some bubbles.

I've seen some of these signs but never a lighted one. I don't know the exact year of the sign, but I have a pic of it hanging in the original building between 1941 and 1948. The glass lenses are 18 inches across and the complete lamp is approx 22 inches across.
