1959 Early Orig Vintage Double Sided Metal Sign Your BANK AMERICARD Welcome Here. Bank of America-which had been founded in San Francisco in 1904 as the Bank of Italy-introduced BankAmericard in 1958, mailing it to 60,000 households in Fresno, California. Until 1965, the card was offered only in California. It measures 23" across and 16" tall.
It is in very good condition with no holes just rust mainly around the edges, one side is better(less rust) than the other. There are 2 original brackets for hanging. This is a rare sign, it's dated 1959 on the bottom and the cards just originated the year before.
